Foothill Century Bike Ride

Where: 1030 Astoria Drive, Sunnyvale, CA 94087

When: Sunday May 17rd

Shifts: 1) 10-12pm 2) 12-2pm

Details: This is the 4th annual Foodhil Century Bike Ride event! We need 3 volunteers to help with the children's activities from 10-12pm. And we need two volunteers from 12-2pm doing welcome back registration and goodie bags. This is a great chance to rack up some last minute hours!

Awards Night

When: Saturday May 23rd from 5-7pm *Note the time update

Details: The annual awards night for the youth volunteers and clubs in Silicon valley is coming up soon! This year's theme is "Red Cross Stars." A buffet-style dinner will be served, and the event is semi-formal. Come cheer on our club! Also, note that if you applied for an officer position for next year, this event is mandatory.

Healthy Kids Day

Where: El Camino YMCA, 2400 Grant Rd , Mountain View , CA

When: 9:30 a m – 2 pm, Sunday, May 3

Details: Healthy Kids Day is the nation’s largest health day for kids and is taking place at more than 1,500 YMCAs nationwide. It celebrates healthy living and is de signed to help kids and families embrace a more active lifestyle. Aimed at getting kids and families excited about physical fun and activity and healthy eating, YMCA Healthy Kids Day is a signature event of YMCA Activate America . YMCA Activate America is the YMCA’s initiative which is rallying YMCAs across the country to help individuals and families who struggle to adopt and sustain healthy lifestyles

Measles Initiative: After-Fundraiser Activity

Date: April 26th from 12:30-3pm
Location: the Chapter: 2731 North First Street, San Jose, room 4
Details: Red Cross volunteers will be counting all the money our schools have fundraised, making Measles and Malaria polka-dot ribbons, and learning more about Measles and Malaria! There'll also be FREE PIZZA!

Public Safety Open House Event for Kids

Date: Saturday, May 2nd, from 11 am – 3 pm
Location: Sunnyvale Public Safety – 700 All America Way, Sunnyvale, CA
Details: Public Safety is holding an open house event and will be opening our doors to the public and conducting tours and demonstrations. Our parking lots will have display booths related to police, fire, and EMS topics. Last year, we had approx. 700 attendees and we're hoping for more this year.
